The Path Forward

Timely issue charges on crimes of violence, crimes against our children and the elderly to remove perpetrators from a position to possibly continue the infliction of harm.

Maintain open communication with the public and members of media to the fullest extent possible within the parameters of the ethical obligations of the office of the Prosecuting Attorney. Taking the time to appear at speaking engagements when requested and educating the community on various aspects of criminal procedure and sentencing laws will assist in reaching the public’s desired transparency.

Working with law enforcement to build cases to dismantle organizations along the chain of distribution to cut off the source of supply of drugs coming into Mason County is necessary to combat our increasing drug problem. Strict enforcement of our laws is key.

The Prosecuting Attorney must possess the confidence and advocacy skills to effectively and persuasively present to a jury the facts of a case to obtain convictions and see that justice is served. As an accomplished trial attorney with a vast amount of courtroom experience I can more effectively negotiate for sentences that fit the crime.

I will continue to maintain a strong working relationship with all members of law enforcement. Law enforcement’s trust in your judgment and abilities is, without question, a requirement of an effective Prosecuting Attorney.
